Order Stages
Order stages are used to define the physical stages of product items from the point of entry to when they leave at the exit point. Order stages are assigned to stations so that each station correctly shows to the operator the items stage it is bumped through the items journey.
Option | Description / Usage |
Display Name | The name given to the order stage (used in channels for customer facing order display screens) |
Name | The system name given to the order stage (these cannot be changed) |
Colour | Drop down to define the colour of the order stage icon displayed on different Kitchen iQ views (views are configured for channels) |
Icon | Drop down to define the icon of the order stage |
New Duration | Entry box to configure the MM:SS of a new ticket displayed |
Order Stages

Preparation - product items are being cooked / made

Assembly - product items have been cooked / made and have come together at the assembly / pass area for final plating (this stage is optional in any configuration)

Serving - product items are ready to be served to a guest

Delivered - the product has left the system and is assumed to be served
Modifying Order Stages

Select the Order Stages tab

Edit as required:

Enable Waiting to Start | Check box to define if an additional stage of "Waiting to Start" should be used, waiting to start is commonly used in the Cook Time Operational mode. When enabled all items when displayed on a Kitchen iQ view will be in the stage of Waiting to Start and will require an operator to "bump" the item to start the preparation process |
Other Settings - When Enable Waiting to Start is Checked
An additional stage is displayed in the above Order Stages that has its own Colour and Icon - it shares the Display Name and New Duration with Preparation |

WTS Indicator in Main Timer |
Drop down to define the indicator for waiting to start:

Show WTS in Secondary Timer | Check box to define if an additional timer will be shown (how long since the items arrived and have been waiting to start stage) |
If waiting to start has been enabled and any routing is sending an item to more than 1 station both stations must start that item individually
Modifying Other Settings (enabling Waiting to Start)

Select the check box for Enable Waiting to Start

Select the required Indicator from the drop down
